What type of shoes for cave tubing?

Does it matter? My daughters always wear flip flops - would those work?

Thanks

Cheap water socks, nylonmeshtops and rubber nubby bottoms. Flips aren't going to cut it. You're not strolling down the flat walkways of the mall. Your feet can get banged up a bit and if you lose one in the water it's gone and you're walking back barefoot. Old running shoes can work too just be ready to toss afterward when thye are all muddy.
