rangeley Posted September 29, 2010 #27 Share Posted September 29, 2010 Not true for us. We did call after finding the price drop ON THE WEBSITE and were told it had to be re-booked because of the lower fare. Six weeks ago. I just called up last week because the price of the 3rd person in the room was changed to free and with no hesitation they took the price off. It seems their rules are different with each person.:(
vbmom87 Posted September 29, 2010 #28 Share Posted September 29, 2010 Interesting point about the travel insurance and that is troubling. I agree this is very troubling. I have noticed this in the fine print of some of the travel insurance policies.
ebkallen Posted October 1, 2010 Author #29 Share Posted October 1, 2010 After waiting a day to see if a superviosr would call, which they didn't. I checked my credit card and the charge was still there for the Cabana, I had the reference # and thought I would call again. I called Shorex, the agent was sympathetic and immediately connected me with his supervisor who was there ?! She told me that the two computer systems don't communicate the shorex and cruise reservations. She says that she stresses to the agents NOT to cancel bookings that have Cabanas on them. Apparently I still had the Cabana on the cancelled booking????? But in order to get it on the new booking I need to be put on the wait list and the people after me orginally need to be put on the permanent wait list (as far as they know they are still on the waitlist too) so that I come up first when the cancellation comes through, she said there is couple days delay, lucky for me! I appreciate all of your replies and will let you know how I make out.
