Stevie44875 Posted September 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2010 My husband and I were thinking of booking the Harley excursion through Royal. Has anyone done this excursion? Also would they cancel this excursion if it's raining that day?
marco Posted September 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2010 We've not done one, but we were one one last year where there was a group of "Harley cruisers". Don't know if you've researched it in depth, but one of the fellows told us it was as expensive to bring his bike as it was for him and he had to get the bike to the port. We went in January, so he did not ride it to the port (we left out of NJ) Towed it, parked the car and the trailer, had to pay for two vehicles to park. I think he said that came to about $40 a day. They did have all of the bikes out on the pier VERY quickly after we docked. "They" got the bikes on/off of the ship/pier, not the bike owner. There seemed to always be a "local" who led the ride. He said it was fun, but expensive enough to not do it again and in hindsight, he would not have done it.
Rare mizLORInj Posted October 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2010 It's always disappointing to me how much these Harley excursions cost. I think Grand Cayman has one through Carnival and it is $300 per person. Way too much money.
Bonnie J. Posted October 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2010 We were on a ship across the pier from RCCL in, I think, it was St. Maartin. The Harley's were unloaded, passngers got on their Harleys and all left. We did pass a Harley dealer and know they stopped there. When we got bsck all the bikes were parked on the watefront- guess they were enjoying the end of their ride. Don't know but assume they did this at all ports but everyone stayed together so they probably couldn't go off on their own. Looked like fun!
