Thanks lots bronxgal40 (gulfportrhoda at tampabay dot rr dot com) I can recommend Hylton Ross, very prompt, very professional, very knowledgeable. I enjoyed a very comprehensive tour to the Cape Point area when in Cape Town last May. Enjoy!!! http://www.hyltonross.co.za/
NCCruzQueen Posted October 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2010 We used Hylton-Ross in Cape Town the fall of '08. Great day in and around CT. I would recommend them also.
mn2ga Posted January 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Steve Bolnick of Walk in Africa is a wonderful tour guide. He is professional and knowledgable. There were four of us that Steve took on a full day driving tour of the area. It was great and I recommend him for any kind of our that you may want. He will custom tailor it to your preferences. no fuss travel Posted January 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2015 We used Take 2 Tours for our tours. The guide was fantastic. For our tours we on the first day did the Cape Peninsula and Penguin Tour and finished off in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The next day we did A Cape Winelands Tour, On this tour we went to Franschhoek (has an incredible chocolate shop here--best chocolate I have ever had), visited an original Cape Dutch Home eating back 200 years and went to 2 different wineries. One of them had a wine named after their dog called Miss Molly. Excellent wine and by the time we had visited the two wineries, we really did not need any more wine that day. The size of the glasses given to sample and the amount of glasses of different wines given to sample is probably 70% more than you get when you go to the different wineries here in North America (IMO) We had this guide recommended to us by someone who had used him previously and we were glad we took her recommendation. nancycoop1 Posted March 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2015 We will have a full day in Cape Town and flying out in the evening. Any ideas for a tour guide that would take us to the airport after our day in Cape Town? Thanks

mn2ga Posted March 13, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Check with your hotel for airport transportation. If you are just going to the airport you don't need a tour guide. Uber is also an alternative. We used them in Cape Town but took a cab to the airport .
nancycoop1 Posted March 13, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Thanks - My message was not very clear. We will arrive on a cruise ship and I would like to spend the day touring to see more of the area before we leave on the plane.

mn2ga Posted March 13, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Check his reviews on Trip Advisor - excellent all the way. Hope it works out for you. He tailored the day to what we wanted and added more to it but asked us first. Beside being a very professional and knowledgeable guide, he is a wonderful person

mn2ga Posted March 13, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 13, 2015 We had the hotel arrange the cab and a private driver to pick us up when we arrived. Send an e-mail to your hotel and ask them. Our hotel was very accomodating.
