lauderdale hotel w/transportation to port of miami

Are there any Lauderdale hotels w/tranportation to/from the port of Miami? Any recommended shuttle services that are dependable?

The ride from the FLL area to POM takes about 40+ minutes. SAS (www.ridesas.com) is suggested by many on these boards for transportation to POM and back to FLL after your cruise. Typical fare is $15 per person. Good luck!:)

I stayed at the Best Western on Stirling road, Ft, Lauderdale airport area, last week. Then we took SAS transportation to the port of Miami. I totally recommend this! The hotel was clean and SAS was great. I was a little upset because we had reserved them to pick us up at 10AM, but they were 20 minutes late. But we were still at POM by 11am and on our ship eating lunch by 12 noon. Then after the cruise they took us back to the airport in Ft. Lauderdale. Imo this was so much better than flying into and staying in Miami. For 4 people SAS is $13/person. I think it's $15/person if less than 4 people. One thing is they don't start picking up at hotels, in Ft. Lauderdale until 11am, but there are a few hotels that they will pick up earlier (whatever time you want) - just ask them which hotels.
