harryw Posted October 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2010 We were in Rome last October for a day, and took the Celebrity Century tour that included the Vatican, Colisseum, Ruins, and Trevi. This month we are doing the Rome on Your Own tour on the Century, having about 6 hours free time. Could someone recommend a walking itinerary, skipping the above sights? Susan-M Posted October 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2010 We really enjoyed Rick Steves walking tours of Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto of Rome ... they are in his Rome guidebook. If you haven't seen the Pantheon, Piazza Navona & Campo de Fiori area it would be easy to combine those with Trastevere & the Jewish Ghetto. Rare Hlitner Posted October 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2010 Well, we would recommend any stroll that includes the Piazza Navona, which happens to be our favorite spot in the city to just sit, have a drink or lunch, and enjoy the wonderful view and people watching.
