Changes at Old San Juan pier

Forgive me if this has been posted before, just read about this last night. The the large structure on the pier at OSJ is being taken down. Apparently Royal Caribbean funded the original construction, but the Carnival Dream couldn't fit next to it.

As I asked on the previous thread on this subject ( several messages below this one)...does this mean RCCL could begin docking there? Sure would be nice to not have to go to Pan Am...

 

RCI currently uses this pier for day stops in Old San Juan. The pier is not designed for embarking or debarking new passengers. Pan American will continue to be used for that.
