knot knormal Posted October 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Can anyone tell me the price of wine at the Barcelona port shop? Reasonable or not?
dabear Posted October 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2010 in addition, how were the prices of the spirits , specifically vodka?
seabill Posted October 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2010 Wine prices were very reasonable at the cruise pier in Barcelona. Nice choices and very simple to go to from the ship. I dont remember any vodka being there. Bill
jotabecu Posted October 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2010 You can get vodka, scotch, etc at almost any food market around Las Ramblas. Enjoy!!!
Goldygolfer Posted October 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2010 You can get vodka, scotch, etc at almost any food market around Las Ramblas.Enjoy!!! Just be aware that many cruise lines will not allow you to take it onboard. Only some lines will allow bottles of wine. Most will not allow spirits. dabear Posted October 26, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 26, 2010 You can get vodka, scotch, etc at almost any food market around Las Ramblas.Enjoy!!! my understanding is if we buy spirits at a food market the bottle will be in our luggage going through security vs buying it at the port shop after security. Am I correct?
Goldygolfer Posted October 27, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2010 All luggage is supposedly x-rayed by security so it's up to you whether you are prepared to take the risk of it being "spotted" and confiscated. Good luck !!
renech Posted November 4, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 4, 2010 We did the Med cruise in Sept. and had no problem buying wine at the Barcelona port to bring on board the ship. I did not even try to sneak it on, I actually asked two of the RCCL employees working in the embarkation area if I was allowed to buy the wine being sold RIGHT THERE, and bring it on board with me. They both said yes, so we bought 3 bottles and walked on board with them. Yes, I was surprised, but pleasantly so. :)
