Anyone stay here and can give us the ends and outs of this resort? Is it conveniently located, restaurants nearby, how nice is the resort, best means of transportation, proximity to PAN AM docks, etc. Appreciate whatever you can give me on this. Thanks.

We stayed there in Jan. 2009. That is a real nice place. They have an Italian joint on the second floor & the food was very good. We had dinner & breakfast there before our cruise, a little pricey, but very good. Also has a chinese place as well, but we did not go there. They had free beer in the casino that night also!!

Taxi's are on site, so not a problem there. The Pam Am pier is about 10 minutes away. The hotel is on the West side of the Condado area & you can see the tops of the ships at Pam Am from the pool & beach area. If they had a cheaper rate we would have stayed there again for our next cruise, but it very nice, you will like it.

I stayed there in January- It is real nice. It is located right at the end of Condado, before you cross a bridge into Old San Juan. It is very large and upscale. There are three pools, a swim up bar, a little cove beach that has no waves and is nice for swimming. Across the cove area, you can see the PAn Am pier and the ships lit up at night. The rest of the beach area is rocky, but the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. If you happen to stay there on nights that any ship departs, you can get a beautiful view of them sailing by about 45 minutes after they depart.

There are a couple of restaurants and bars on site. Our favorite was a cafe with ocean views. It is on the same floor as a nice and quite popular casino. They have rooms on the ocean side and cove side. The hotel is within easy walking distance of downtown Condado. There are a variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Old San Juan is a very short taxi ride.

I had a great stay there- no complaints (other than all the money that the casino pocketed of mine).
