Upper/Front Promenade on Grand?

Recommended Posts

I was on the Grand in December and will be again in about 6 weeks. I was disappointed that whenever I tried to walk up the outside stairs to the foreward/upper part of the promenade, they were closed.

Is there another way to get to the area? Is there a certain time it's opened and closed? Has anyone else run into this?

Any advice would be great. I'd love to be able to stand in front while leaving a couple of the ports (Belize being the main one)

Thanx for any hints to getting there.

LES!

On the Star, it was open all week. Went there for sailaway. :)

Rats, why won't they do this on the Grand? I really want to see the view from there!

For those that have been on the Grand lately, has it been open at all? Maybe our week in December was just a bad one, although we had great weather all week. :( I'm hoping it'll be open in April!

It's been a couple years since I was on the Grand but I know you can get to the front. There are cabins beyond one of the theater entrances, so you walk on the left side of the theater all the way past the cabins on that deck, when you get as far as you can go you turn left and go out the exit door - there you are, outside at the very front of the ship. I wish I knew exactly what deck you take but it was 2002!
