Bon Voyage Gifts?

Can those of you who have purchased on-board credits through the Bon Voyage Gifts section please answer a few questions.

After you fax NCL the form do they send you a receipt for the item and payment?

Does the money you place in your account show up anywhere in "My NCL"?

I booked direct with NCL and understand that you can request an "Amenities Form" that will show payments made to your on-board account, how do I request this form?

Any other hints or tips in this are would be appreciated.

I faxed them the form last week as I bought some triple play casino chips and still have not seen any confirmation that they received it. I am going to call them today because I need to order 5 bottles of wine and my cruise is in less than 2 weeks. I am going to tell them to email me something that says what I paid for. Also, I have an OBC that I have not seen any confirmation of as it doesn't show up in My NCL. I will let you know what happens.

I purchase everything and get receipts directly from my PCC. Perhaps you can call her (or him) and ask for receipts. I'm pretty sure they can access everything about your reservation.

The best way to do it is to directly call the Bon Voyage Department. 1-800-327-7030.

You can place your order and request they send you an email confirmation. It is quite easy and much faster than faxing the form.

Print this confirmation/receipt with you on your cruise. It will not show up on "My NCL".

Take care,

Mike

I also called NCL Bon Voyage dept. directly and purchased OBC monthly....for about 3-4 months. After each purchase I asked them to send me an email confirmation......which is the amenities form. All your OBC purchases should be on the latest amenities form that they send you....not just the one you just purchased (if you make more then one purchase, that is). I printed them each time and brought the last updated one onboard, just in case NCL didn't have any record of me purchasing them.....but got to our room on the first day and the OBC confirmation "cards" were on the desk. So no problems whatsoever!!

I FAXed in my order form, and added my email address. At the bottom, I requested an emailed receipt.

I received the emailed confirmation approximately four days after I faxed in the request.

I have not seen it show up anywhere in My NCL or on my eDocs, nor do I expect to. I have the confirmation sheet and will take that with me.

Just called the Bon Voyage Department and ordered my wine. I asked them about my Triple Play Chips but she said that she had no record of them. She said it takes 72 hours for them to show up so I will give them till Wed. I also asked her about my OBC and she sent me a record of them. Forgot about faxing and just call them! It is so much easier and will give you peace of mind.

I don't think the fax forms are such a great idea either. One of our friends got my DH an OBC for his brithday about 5 days before the party. The party was on 9/5. They never recevied a confrmation and called they showed no record so he called my PCC and did it though him. Lo and behold, I requested an Ammedity form and not only was the one he did with the PCC on there, the original purchases was on there also and it took until 9/10 for them to enter it.

Thank you everyone for your advice especially April7901 above. I was thinking while I was reading the replys that I would do this when I put in my order and reading about your success has pushed me that way. I do agree with those who have said that a better system should be employed. I think if shore excursions can be booked through My NCL then it should not be very hard to attach Bon Voyage gifts as well, I know RCCI do it.

Maybe next time I use a PCC, I had a representative contact me a year or so ago through email but I got the impression that he wasn't really interested or he didn't think I was serious about booking that's why I went direct.
