Mercado del Puerto Montevideo

Can any one tell me how close the Mercado del Puerto is to the cruise ship terminal. Is it within walking distance? We will be in Montevideo in February and we are thinking of having lunch there.

Very close, easy walking distance. As I recall, it was directly across the street from the building on the right with the tower. You walk on a green path between that building and the shorter one left, through the part where the trees are, and cross the street and you are there.

Very close. We had lunch there in the covered section of the market where many steak/barbecue restaurants operate in the same building. Your nose will tell you where they are. Excellent!
