Sweet Upgrade - Cat 11 Suite!!

Well, it's only 15 days until the cruise and yesterday I got a great surprise. I received an email from my online TA saying that Carnival has upgraded us from our Cat 8E Balcony to a Cat 11 Suite!! :D

Since this is our first cruise, I'm pretty sure I'm completely ruined for future cruises now.

Anyone have any good links to photos of Cat 11 suites? Particularly on the Pride, but others would be good too. I'm just trying to imagine what these rooms look like. Bedroom, sitting area, dressing area, two TVs...the room can't be that big can it?

Now I just have to try to contain myself and keep this a secret from my girlfriend. I want to wait until we get there to surprise her.

Congratulations on your upgrade...yes, you will assuredly be spoiled! Two years ago, we booked a cat 8A balcony and received a cat 11. Yes, it is bigger. I especially liked that the bathroom had a tub with jets and the shower doors were much better than the shower curtain! There is a narrow dressing area right as you go into the bathroom. It's great because two people can get ready at the same time. I kept all of my stuff there and then my DH kept his stuff in the bathroom. There is a couch with a table which is nice for room service along with another chair. Of course, there is a balcony. As you walk into the cabin, it's a bit narrow and then it's open with the rest of the space. It's bigger but not a big as it appears in the photos. We only had one TV?? We're going with a cat 8A cabin this year and am looking forward to it. Enjoy!

Wow, Cruzevirgins - How exciting! May I ask if you had booked a specific cabin on 8E and how many people are in your room. The reason I ask is that we are book in a cabin on 8E with 4 people. We really like the cabin we booked because it is one of those few cabins on Miracle that have that extra long balcony. I'm afraid they may try to "upgrade" us to a higher balcony deck but I don't want to give up our cabib. However, I wouldn't mind an upgrade to a suite!

Congratulations and enjoy your cruise!

We booked a specific Cat 8E on the Empress Deck. It wasn't one with the extra large balcony, but it was an "extended balcony". The suite we got upgraded to is still on the same deck and the same side of the ship, just closer to the front rather than the rear.

Enjoy yours too and good luck!!

My first cruise was a cat.11 on the pride. We had the wrap around balcony so that was cool too. I know on the cruise addicts web site someone stayed in a cat 11 and put up picture's. Just look under the photo's section and it's listed under pride suite cat 11. I didnt get a chance to take pictures of the suite but as luck would have it we stayed in the exact same room as the person from the web site. 7298. Anyway I have no idea how to post a link maybe some one else would do that for you. BTW Congrats

We had an category 11 with the wrap around balcony. If this is the type of cabin you get, you will definitely be spoiled for life. Here is a link to the pictures I took of our cabin:

And it looks like you will get to enjoy one of the last cruises with the fantastic cruise director, Greg Kneale. You are really in for a treat.

Enjoy your cruise!

I doubt you will be an aft cat. 11, but the "regular" 11's are very nice. Yes, you will be ruined. Your cabin will be more like a hotel room. Not a stateroom! :)

Only one t.v. (except for those corner afts) But, hey, thats all you need!

The very best thing about your upgrade that no one has mentioned is you get priority embarkation! Believe me! you will be thrilled.

It was kind of embarrassing being wisked away, past two lines that are a mile long. (dirty looks and comments) At the point where they tell you to go out the doors, after you check in and just step up to security and x-ray, ask them to ESCORT you. Other wise, you may get more then just some dirty looks. This port needs to improve on this situation. Some how make it so skippers club people are not made to look like criminals!

ENJOY! ENJOY! Make all the mess you want in that dressing area. ! I loved it. It kept the cabin area clean and tidy.:D

Nope, it's not an aft cabin, but I'm more than happy with the "standard" Cat 11 suite. I think I got the idea of two Tvs from photos of a corner cabin. One is certainly plenty. I doubt we'll spend much time watching TV. :D

I'm sure my gf will love the dressing area!! I just have to contain myself until we get there so I can surprise her with the upgrade.

Thanks!!

James

When you ask the first person you see at the pier, where skippers club check in is! What a surprise. I would love to see her face!

Ryaneg...7298 is the cabin we just had on the Legend and have already booked that exact same cabin for next year on the Miracle. It's a dandy to be sure! Loved the separate bedroom and of course the balcony was amazing!

Skipper's Club is also a great deal, but sure had to stand in a long line just to get to it, then another long line to go through security. I guess we arrived at prime time, but it was wonderful to be able to skip the REALLY long line for check in!:D
