Sass4 Posted October 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2010 I booked with a TA that advertises on this board. I see that price drops do happen and I was just wondering if TA's only honor a price drop that is actually on the rccl.com website or could it be other ones? I know we can't post websites on here, so I have included my email if anyone knows of different websites I can watch. Thank you very much. sassie.gurl2 at yahoo . com
firefly333 Posted October 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2010 Since no TA site is allowed to advertise lower rates, if you see a lower rate than you paid, it shouldnt matter which site its on .. but I would double check it on the rcl site after I found it. catnt2 Posted October 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2010 Right TA's are not allowed to advertise on this site...... But if RCI allows price drops (before/after final payment) then the TA should as well. That being said......The TA may make the change, but can charge you a fee to make the change. There are TA's that do not charge and there are TA's out there that charge for changes and you should find out up front if changes are allowed free of charge. If the price goes down, so does the TA's commission. While on a cruise, A woman told me her cabin went down $200 per person and her TA charged her $100pp to make the change. So she did it, still making an extra $100.
