lochncup Posted October 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I'm a newbie getting ready to sail to Bermuda. Have been lurking on this site and gleaning wonderful information from you experts. I recall reading that one can hire a taxi in Bermuda for $40 an hour with a 3 hour minimum. 1)Is that $40 per person? 2)Is it possible to hire a cab for less than 3 hours? Hubby is not much of a beach person and we mainly would just like to be able to check out Horsehoe Bay or one of the other pretty beaches in Bermuda...not to swim, but just to see it for maybe 10 minutes or so. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you want to just take a taxi to a particular destination, it is based on a metered fare...no minimum time...no hourly charge. You may also want to consider public transportation...the buses and ferries. They are safe, reliable and relatively inexpensive. You can purchase 1, 2 or 3 day unlimited use passes that are good on both...or single use tokens if you're just going to one destination and back.
