Evening Xmas Lights Walk?

We'll be in San Juan on December 27th, and hear that the Holiday Lights are nice in Old San Juan. I'd prefer a guide to take us through since it will be dark, and would love to take some pictures, so don't just want a taxi ride.

 

Has anyone been there this time of year? Is this a good idea and do you have a guide/site suggestion?

The lights are all around, but mainly in the very populated areas/streets. It is easy to walk around and just look until you get tired.

I don't know of any tour guide that will just do a Xmas light tour.....but I am sure the walking tours ( will be able to tell you about where the best lights are). Do a Google search for Old San Juan night walking tour. You will find something.

do not miss the 3 Kings! (jan. 6 is the peak day of the christmas season in Puerto Rico, it is the Día de los 3 Reyes Magos (three kings day)

How early do they put up the lights? We will be there Dec. 10 and return Dec. 18 after our cruise.
