For those interested cruisers in the Houston area, the Travel Section in the Chronicle today is all about the cruise ships that go out of Galveston and the Port of Houston. The main focus is on the Ecstasy. The article includes advice for the first-time cruiser as well as information on shore excoursions. By the end of this year, there will be 7 ships sailing from these ports!

Thanks! This interests me alot as I'm just waiting for more balconies to arrive on a Carnival ship..... It will save me airfare to find a good cruise out of Houston or Galveston... Now, just some different itineraries would be awesome!
