Taking ALCOHOL on the ship

I believe Carnival allows passengers to bring a certain amount of alcohol onboard. Check their web site or the Carnival forum for more details.

I also believe all the mass-market lines offer "drink of the day" specials which you may buy in a souvenier cup/glass or a plain cup.

Traveling on the Carnival Dream next month -- anyone know of a good way to get alcohol on the ship or are there any drink specials on the ship?

Very interesting question, and I am surprised it has never been asked before:rolleyes:.

What I do is hire a small boat. I get a balcony. The boat pulls up below my balcony, I throw a rope over, and haul up all of my booze.

However, if I am on the docked side, I have to revert to the helicopter drop.

There is a Carnival board here on Cruise Critic. On that board do a search for "smuggling" or rum runners. Many threads on this topic will appear with lots of information that will help you. And lots of ones with "tone" of disapproval and sarcasm. Take the good and ignor the bad.

Cheers.
