San Juan Shore excursions for Carnival Liberty

Hi!

I'm travelling on Carnival Liberty the week of November 13-20 and we're making a stop on the Wednesday at the port of San Juan. I'm travelling with my Husband and my best friend and her boyfriend and we're interested in seeing the El Yunque rain forest for a shore excursion but on Carnival's website they only have that excursion available if you embark or disembark from the port of San Juan (which we aren't). I'm wondering if anyone has taken a private tour through a separate company that they would recommend or if they know if onboard a tour is offered that isn't on their site which would include the rainforest which I can buy from Carnival.

Thanks in advance!!

In August. We rented a car and did it ourselves. Programed the gps and off we went. Inexpensive and we did it on our own time frame. It was great. We got rained on, swam in the water fall and it was just the 5 of us there, awesome. We were there before the tours.
