Does anybody know how this will affect or cruises?

If you have not yet book, then obviously it will be just added to the cruise price.

BUT, if you have already paid a deposit?

And what if you have just paid in full?

Do they send you another bill, or tell you to cough up at the airport check-in desk?

As the APD was announced two years ago by the last government, it is not coming as a last minute surprise and the tax should already be included in the price you have paid.

The increase from 1 Nov is the second phase of increases announced in the pre budget report in Nov 2008. See this link that gives all the rates

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/pbr2008/pbrn20.pdf

For cruisers the tax on flights to Barbados doubles from £50 to £100 or from £75 to £150 in you go Premium.
