Booking a "Happy hour"/Xciting Deal reservation

I am waiting and hoping for a Happy Hour special on a certain cruise in December. Never done a Happy Hour booking before.

Usually, I place my cabin on hold online and then transfer it to a TA . Would this count as a prior booking?

Any pointers/advice would be appreciated. (Actually, had two cabins on courtesy hold, but with new no discount policy decided to wait.)

Yes, this would count as a prior booking. Also you would not be ablwe to transfer to your TA as the booking is paid in full. Better to contact your agent directly and have them book it. Otherwise, you need to wait for the exciting deal promo to book it. Do not make a courtesy hold online! This will disqualify you from the promo fair.Example: you can not keep rolling over a courtesy hold until a ship appears on an exciting deals promo.
