Sauer-kraut Posted November 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I have done a search and got tons of posts for door decorations on this forum which is sort of what I'm looking for, however, I SPECIFICALLY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE DOORS ON THE DESTINY ARE METAL and will take a car door magnet. I put up a magnet on our NCL cruise in Oct and it got a lot of compliments and it was a lot of fun. I am thinking of getting some made as a good friend's daughter will be getting married next year at Nassau and we'll all be on the cruise there together. I wanted to give everyone the car door magnet so that the party can be identified. However, if the doors aren't metal it will be a moot point and I'll have to come up with something else. Thanks for your help in advance.
cruisingagaininnov2008 Posted November 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2010 If I recall correctly, the doors themselves are not metal, but the door frames are.
flgojo Posted November 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2010 This is just an idea but I think it would look cool and then you wouldn't have to worry about the doors. And I think it would be cheaper too. Go to a sign shop and see if they can print your signs on banner material and put rivits in it (sort of a nautical look see what I mean) Then I think you could run a rope thru the rivits and around the door to hold it in place. Sauer-kraut Posted November 4, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted November 4, 2010 that's an idea, thanks! I think I'll just keep it to a paper sign, and use sticky tape, there doesn't seem to be any problems with carnival staff denying people the use of tape, stick-um and other things. So, now I can be more creative with the template and it will be cheaper too! Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. :)
