La paz cruise dock ?

Does the Carnival Spirit dock in the harbor or anchor off shore? Also, when you get off the boat in La Paz can you walk to shopping or is it far enough away to warrant a taxi ride to town? We will be going to La Paz for the 1st time in a few days and really don't want to book a tour but did want to get off the boat and do a little shopping. Your comments are welcomed. Thanks

Carnival Spirit docks in Pichilingue. La Paz is just a short shuttle/taxi ride away.

You need transportation to go to La Paz.

When we were there, they had a shuttle bus that takes you into town and you can take the shuttle bus back. The loading is quick and the ride each way is about 15 minutes. The cost was about $5 for a round trip. Not need for a taxi or a car rental, unless you want to.
