Taxis At Budapest Dock

We just booked the Prague to Budapest cruise on AMA for next year. We are thinking of staying an extra day or two in Budapest on our own. Can anyone tell me if there are taxis at the docking location after we disembark?

I am sure that someone at the front desk on the boat will call one for you.

 

Most boats dock quite centrally - so it wouldn't be long to arrive.

The night before you disembark there will be a list at the desk - just fill it out and he'll be there waiting for you in the AM. I'll never forget my ride to the air port - 2nd scariest cab ride in my life - had one in London many years ago that was the champ - plus was sitting back wards.

If you haven't been to Budapest before, you will be sorry if you don't stay over to sightsee. It is a beautiful city.

Be sure to stay a few extra days in Budapest for seeing this beautiful city. Budapest is compared with Paris for its beauty. I really enjoyed my 4 days there on our own.Our hotel,Marriott Millenium Executive Apartments was so close to where the Avalon ship docked that we were able to walk there.

Ditto on staying over a bit...we did and want to return!

 

It is a beautiful (and fun) city!
