Scooby427 Posted November 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2010 Okay, I rarely post but have been around for a while. We are scheduled for the 9 night Bahamas out of Baltimore over Christmas. Anyone know if Zumba classes are offered on ships? We are on the Enchantment...........just trying to plan ahead for when I indulge!;) Have fun CC'ers! LeeLee Posted November 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I hope so. We don't cruise until summer, and its been a few years since we've gone, but I love ZUMBA and hope they offer it or something similar as well.
Janet524 Posted November 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I'm probably out of touch, but what's Zumba?
Sheal Posted November 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I think you may be out of luck. I have been on three different ships this year and none offered Zumba or any other aerobic dance class. The only dance activity will probably be their line dancing classes. This activity probably won't get your heart rate up though. Maybe if you really got into it.:) Sheal

morgan1312 Posted November 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 8, 2010 We sailed on the Enchantment for the 9 night carribbean cruise the end of August and there were no zumba classes or anything like it. My daughter was specifically looking to keep up her 3 day a week zumba schedule and was disappointed they didn't offer it. They did offer spinning classes and a few other group exercise classes though.
Wildcatfish Posted November 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2010 I might be wrong, but I heard they were offering aqua zumba. It's easier on the joints, but definitely more resistance! Our local Y's offer this, and it's great!
Janet524 Posted November 8, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2010 Janet524, This will give you an idea. OK...Obviously I'm not the demographic they're shooting for. My hips haven't moved like that since 1985!
