Dowunder Posted November 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2010 I realise I will only need cash for private tours and tips, but I wondered if there is a daily withdrawal limit on the ship's ATM.
numbersix Posted November 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2010 You don't want to use the ATM on the ship. Where are you sailing? Kevin
kitty9 Posted November 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2010 The ship doesn't limit you, but your credit card will. Most have a limit of $500 a day. The big problem is, there's quite a charge for taking out cash from the ATM...for me it was $5.50 per transaction plus a charge from the bank because it wasn't one of their ATM's. Dowunder Posted November 8, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted November 8, 2010 Thanks for your help. The Aussie dollar is above parity with the USD and is likely to stay that way for a while so I can absorb the charges. I have to withdraw about $USD 1000 for Ramses tours and Guided Tours Israel etc. I have above that limit on my cc and I don't want to travel with cash. I think those charges will be minimal compared with the loss of a wallet. I just wanted to make sure I could get the USD on board.
FunCruiser56 Posted November 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2010 We always go to the Casino and get cash there, they charge a small service fee but it's alot less than what the atm fees would be. Have a great trip! Bev
