We dined in East, White Room and Ramblas on Ventura and did not tip at all. Just our choice because we paid extra. The only other perosn we tipped except our cabin stewards and restaurant waiters was our wedding photographer but you can tip who you want when you want.

You will find that the waiters in the speciality restaurants work in other areas of the ship, the MDR, the buffet, the bars etc. Therefore one would assume that they receive tips from these areas and that the supplement for the speciality dining includes a percentage for a gratuity.

As we tip generously in the above venues, we have only ever tipped in the speciality restaurants for service over and above the norm, which is often the case, as the food and service is exemplary.

However, there have been times when we have not tipped and not felt obliged to do so.
