luv-to-cruz Posted November 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2010 Sailing to Southern Caribbean first of Dec. Would it be appropriate to pack a few pieces of clothing with a Christmas theme for evening meals?
paul929207 Posted November 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2010 The ship will already be decorated for Christmas, so why not.

SuitCaseBears Posted November 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2010 I figure any excuse for any celebration is a good one. I think it's a great idea. We're sailing the week before Thanksgiving - and I have a rule in our house - no Christmas until after Thanksgiving, or I'd wear my Christmas t-shirts. But December is fair game. Canadianhey! Posted November 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Just got off a cruise on Oct 31 (Halloween) and did notice that one cabin had their door decorated the day we left Oct 24. So it happens all the time.
cmtom89 Posted November 9, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Sailing to Southern Caribbean first of Dec. Would it be appropriate to pack a few pieces of clothing with a Christmas theme for evening meals? Sure. We have sailed around several holidays and the ships usually do some kind of decorations for each. Just got off a sailing that ended October 31st. There was a Halloween costume contest and trick or treating for the kids during the cruise and there were a dozen of the large inflatable lawn decorations placed throughout the ship We have sailed during Thanksgiving and there was a huge display of decorated turkeys and lots of food carvings, etc. We have sailed in December and they have had a gingerbread village, decorated trees, menorahs, etc. Different holidays are celebrated and all popular (for lack of a better word)traditions seem to be honored and represented. GRAMMYTAN Posted November 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2010 I plan on doing that as well. In fact I packed us two carribean colored santa hats (mine is pink Dh is Green) and we are going to get pics made with the palm trees with ship in background to put in our Christmas cards when we get home. Also thinking about a small tree, garland and santas for the window of our cabin, since we will be on board for 9 days in Dec. Go for it.
PennyAgain Posted November 9, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Some ships aren't decorated that early and others do their decorations a bit at a time, but you can wear what you please. It's your vacation!
