I'm on my way to N.O. to catch the Triumph!!

We see you've been on Triumph before. We really enjoyed our spring break cruise on Triumph in March. Getting to NOLA was the pits, tho. We drove from Shreveport and the drive was fine until we got on I-10. It was choked and traffic was stopped several times all the way thru Baton Rouge. We thought we were going to miss the ship. Turned out the previous cruise was delayed in debarkation and we stood in line outside the terminal building for 3 hours. We were on board and unpacked just in time for dinner at 6:00! It was a great cruise. Can't wait til Triumph comes to Galveston--about 1 hour less drive for us.

Carnival Triumph...here we come!!

We just hit the road...all roads lead to New Orleans. The weather is great. We'll should be there in about 5 hours. Woooo hooooo!!

 

Me too - but I only have to travel about 5 miles to get there :D!! See you tomorrow!!

We are coming from Alabama. Traffic on I-65 flowed well until we got to Mobile. It got a lil thick. We are in Mississippi now and there is some road work going on outside of Biloxi. Got a lil bumpy.

 

The Triumph is nice. I enjoyed my other cruises and I am sure this will be no different.

Ok...either I lost an hour somewhere or my husband was driving like a bat out the basement of heck. We got a room at the Drury Inn. Got here just in time for the comp food and drinks. My vacation has officially started. I and double fisting a tequila sunrise. LOL

We'll be in NOLA tomorrow too, but unfortunately not to catch a cruise. We'll definitely pop over to the port area to take a look at the docked ship and to show my daughter what a big boat looks like since we'll be on one in just 3 short weeks. Enjoy those drinks tonight and have a great time!

We just missed you....but at least Memphis was well represented last month!!!

 

<3 and I were on the Triumph together...on the cruise you SHOULD have been.

 

We actually had a good crowd from Collierville on the trip....

I am on the beautiful Carnival Triumph!! We left our car at the Drury Inn for the week. The taxi ride to the port was quick and painless. We went through security with no problem. We even managed to get our stash of vodka, bourbon, 2 bottles of wine, Cokes, Sprites and water through the check points. We did see one guy getting a bottle of Patron taken away. After getting our S&S cards, we walked right onto the ship. Right now we are waiting to check our dinner table assignment so we can request a table for 2.

 

...oh, the drinks are flowing. Patron Tequila Sunrise is full affect. Cheers!
