What time flight out of Sydney if docking at 7am?

Hello all, any opinions on what time I should book our flights home from Sydney if we are docking at 7am?

 

We wont' be sprinting off the ship, so I figure mid afternoon might be a safe time... What do you think? It will be a Sunday, January 2 in fact, so no commuter traffic to take into account.

 

Any experiences disembarking in Sydney and getting to the airport? We will be on HAL if that makes any difference to how long it takes.

Unless you want to hang/look around for a while, something around midday should be comfortable. It doesn't take long to get to the airport, particularly on a Sunday, so the time is more to allow for any contingencies. If everything went to plan though, even 10 a.m. would be fine - but wouldn't allow for any accidents, delays and so on.

Thanks. I want to allow for contingencies while not having to hang around TOO long... our holiday will be over :( and we'll just want to get home by then (and do all the laundry).
