tropical.dreams Posted November 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2010 The good thing about Thanksgiving dinner? Because of my diet over the last month, my stomach has shrunk and I was only able to eat one plate of food and one dessert instead of my usual 2 plates and multiple desserts! The bad thing about Thanksgiving dinner? Mashed potatoes, stuffing, and bread pudding...CARBOLOADED! Wonder how much exercise I'll have to do to get that off?!?! :-)
JimnKaren Posted November 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2010 I did good at Thanksgiving. There was a buffet line in the kitchen and I was the last one through. No one was paying attention to how much I put on my plate. Some well-meaning person(s) brought lots of veggies. I passed on them and went for the things that we don't usually have at home. Dressing, gravy, dark meat, etc. I can eat veggies anytime. There were 12 adults around the big table, the young adults had their own and finished almost before I got all of my food, and when I was done, I took my plate to the kitchen. Then...I nibbled. No one saw me, so it didn't count! Cherry pie, apple cobbler and a birthday cupcake. All good. I cut back on my calories by not having any wine. All around...a good Thanksgiving.
