Queensland Coast Cruise

Finally have a bit of time to comment on our recent cruise. Sailed on the Pacific Sun 6th Nov which turned out to be a lovely day. Not having sailed on her before but had read alot about her I did not know what to expect but on boarding I found she was very clean and well maintained. Areas where a bit small than I imaged with no big open spaces, but we all had a lovely holiday and met some great people.

We had a rough day at sea on our journey to brisbane back from Cairns where some people decided to fly home they missed out on the wonderfuly weather we had after.

Friends we were travelling with encounted some laundry rage when several people were lining up to use the laundry when a lady went straight to the head of the line and started to use the washer when she was confronted by a fellow passenger who let it know after that he had to have dinner with her that evening as she was a relative of his wife.

Our only tour was to the Great Barrier Reef which was dear but worth the money. I did snorkling which I wasn't going to do but on seeing an old lady do it I thought if she can so can I and I had a great time it encouraged my husband and I to come back and next time might even try scuba diving. The reef (knuckle) was beautiful and very colourful and it was an overcast day.

When we got to Cairns we hired a people mover as their was 6 of us and went to Port Douglas a lot smaller than I expected but very pretty had lunch in the local pub and headed back to Cairns visiting the Daintree also.

The next day we visited Kanara and the skyrail with some great views.

Brisbane next the city cat is a great service running every 12 mins looked at the shops then had cum cha then a visit to the Brisbane eye and a walk along the foreshore which was very pretty. Then back to the boat where I believe some people miss the boat with the captian saying we were leaving on time.

Arriving in Sydney on time to be told by our limo driver that 2 blokes had been escorted off by waiting police.

Overall we had a wonderfully time and will be booking again maybe on the Jewel or Pearl in the near future.

We rang while we were having breakfast and the company we rang was East coast Car Rentals Cairns 07 40316055 on Sheridan St the being of the street is to the left of the terminal but it is a bit of a walk about 15-20mins. We got a people mover brand new still had plastic here and there

sat 6 very comfortable. I think it was $184 per day we had it for 2 days and parked it on the street outside the terminal then when the guys dropped it off they drove them back to the ship.
