Options available for first lunch on Epic

I know that the crew usually sends everyone to the buffet, however, my DH and I, as well as my in-laws who are traveling with us are not big fans. We have sailed NCL before and the main dining room was always open as well for those who knew about it. Are there other options on Epic? Is the noodle bar or sushi bar open? Is the main dining room open?

 

I am sailing in 2 weeks so any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

We went to Taste on the first day. Since the cabins were not ready yet, the buffet was very crowded. It seemed that very few people knew that Taste was open. We had a very nice lunch in a very peaceful dining room. I highly recommend it. The noodle and Sushi bars will not be open for lunch.

We went to Spice H20, Deck 15. Very nice with very few people. An adult only area!

We went to Spice H2O as well, but the food area isn't adult only... or at least not the first day (our group including 5 kids ate there)

We ate at O'Sheehens and were also the first to bowl there...

Spice, Taste, O'Sheehans and buffet will be open. I was on last week and had no lines at any of the venues.

We sail in January, and we usually fight the crowds at the buffet....

We will be hitting the Taste for our first lunch on the ship! OMG I can't wait!!!!!

I know people have already answered but there is a little bit more. According to the Freestyle Daily first day had these options available for lunch:

 

Garden Cafe 11:30-3:00 (buffet)

Taste 12:00-2:00 (contemporary/menu)

Great Outdoors 12:00-3:00 (a smaller buffet by the main pools)

Spice H20 12;00-3:00 (snacks)

Noodle Bar 12:00-3:00 (Chinese a la carte...fee)

Yakitori and Sushi/Wasabi a la carte 12:00-3:00 (fee)

 

The above was on the 10/30/10 western Carib. sailing.

Those with access to Courtyard complex can lunch at the Epic Club - excellent food and a gorgeous room.
