firefly333 Posted December 5, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 5, 2010 It doesnt matter, sometimes they do it either way. In the ports too, thats why you can never say for sure which side faces the port.

MrSnarkyPants Posted December 5, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 5, 2010 Does anyone know why the Conquest is docked backwards? Cold front blew in this morning... winds were around 25 MPH... easier to turn it now than when it's dark & windy. *Mach* Posted December 6, 2010 #9 Share Posted December 6, 2010 She docked that way because of the wind this morning. It was blowing as high as 28 knots. Pretty much anything 25 or greater overpowers the thrusters making turning the ship about dangerous without the aid of a couple of VERY EXPENSIVE tug boats. In lieu of that they simply dock to the port side of the ship and make the turn upon sail away when, hopefully, the winds are less... :)
