Cost to get to cruise terminal from Belize City airport?

I need to fly into Belize City to pick up the ship there -- and am wondering if anyone can share how much it costs (USD) to get from the airport to the cruise terminal...and how readily available are cabs at the airport for the ride...and if I need to change into local currency...or if the cabs accept credit cards.

 

Any suggestions or insights would be helpful :).

Maybe Wadethegringo knows the latest fare. It used to be around US$35-US$40 to the international airport.

Here I am....You are right on the $$$$... The fare from BZE Airport is $25 US into the city. The charge is more if you have more than two in your party....

 

No need to change into Belize $$$$..If you need Belize cash. THere is a ATM at the airport..

I had a family emergency that caused me to miss the ship :(. But I didn't want to cancel, so I'm picking it up mid-way.
