offdutyOshawa Posted December 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Would be interested in hearing your 'favorites', or 'not to be missed' excursion recommendations while aboard Adventure of the Seas 2011 southern Caribbean run. We'll stop at Curacao, Aruba, Dominica and St. Thomas this coming February. We love snorkling, beach visits, and some history and culture tours. cheers to all,
mrsd2fan Posted December 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2010 For Aruba, you must do a beach excursion...but do it on your own...just grab a taxi in port and ask the driver to take you to Eagle Beach...nice white sand..soft, soft, soft... Curacao-the beaches and snorkeling aren't that great..we just walked into town and explored St. Thomas- We went to Coki Point Beach, nice quiet beach-snorkeled..loved it! I just can't recall if we did an excursion through the ship or caught a ride on our own...

138east Posted December 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Levi Baron's Roseau Valley Tour on Dominica - Titou Gorge, Trafalgar Falls, Botanical Gardens, quick stop at the hot springs, Morne Bruce Lookout, and snorkeling at Champagne Reef. Levi leaves early and gets you back between 2 & 3 pm. Air conditioned van with 10-12 people plus drinks. No lunch stop.
Puffinater Posted December 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Dominica..Picked up a van tour to Trafalga Falls. We did not prebook and as you might expect there were plenty of folks offering tours. It was a few years ago so I do not rememeber the price. Great tour. derby bears Posted December 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 8, 2010 We went whale watching in Dominica. The tour was through RCCL, we enjoyed it. Had a humpback alongside the boat for thirty mins or more. We also came across a group of dolfins that was playing and racing the boat. The crew was super and there was plenty of room aboard.
