DarceyJK Posted December 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2010 Hello Everyone - My family (me, DH, children ages: 21, 20, 14 &14) will be going on our very first cruise on Dec 26th on the Pearl. We would very much appreciate any ideas for excursions to Samana, St Thomas, tortola, and Great Stirrup Cay. We are all in good health and quite fit. Thanks in advance for any advice and helpful hints!
gordmcmillan123 Posted December 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2010 We will be on the same cruise as well. (27yrs and 24yrs couple)This is our second cruise. Last year we did the adventure excursions, this year we are taking the low key excursions. We are doing the Cayo Levantado island in Samana, kayak, hike and snorkeling in St. Thomas, a catamaran and snorkel tour in Tortola, and nothing in GSC. We are not into the history tours, and see the sights. We are told the baths are amazing in St. Thomas. See ya on the boat!

MikeandAmy Posted December 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2010 We just sailed on the Pearl last month. In St. Thomas we highly recommend the Sea Lion excursion in the Coral World Park. It is well worth the money and the interaction time you have with the seals are amazing. We were skeptical that we would not get to spend much time with the sea lion but we were amazed at the one on one time we had and they took great pictures for us as well. We took the Land Rover tour in Tortoal-never again. It was cramped and the roads are horrible and there wasn't much to do other than take a few pics of the same scenery and stop at a beach. Enjoy your cruise!
Host Star Posted December 8, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2010 hi, I would also suggest posting on the individual ports of call boards.. you can get lots of ideas there.. also post on your roll call board and chat with other members on your cruise.. enjoy your cruise!
