Children's book seen at McKinley Lodge gift shop

Hi everyone,

I know this is a long shot. I saw a children's picture book in the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge gift shop. All I remember is that it had several colorful animal characters on the cover and that there were at least two different books with the same characters.

I seem to remember that they were likely animals you'd find in Alaska but I might be wrong.

I'm having no luck searching online bookstores.

Did anyone here buy such a book or remember anything about them?

The lodge is closed for the winter so I can't call.

Thanks janetjulie and 5326jan. Unfortunately, those are not the books. I saw those on Amazon but the books I'm looking for are more cartoony. I might have to wait until May and give the gift shop a call. If I remembered more about the books I'm sure I'd have no problem finding them on Amazon. I remember thinking they were cute and I should have bought one while I was there.

I'm also regretting not buying a children's book I saw on the train from Whittier to Denali. I can't remember what that one was at all. I just remember that it struck me as an important book. I wasn't looking for Alaska kidlit in August, but I sure would like to have those books now.

Try the author Barbara Joosse. Not wildlife but Mama Do You Love Me was a favorite when DS was small. Her books are for sale in most shops in Alaska.

Nice books, but those are not what I'm looking for. Thanks, onthelake. I'm making a list of the books I might have seen on the train and Mama, Do You Love Me? is on the list (even though some reviews for it say it's not a good book for kids).
