Marriott Beach Place Resort

We're staying at the Marriott Beach Place Towers in Ft. Lauderdale the night prior to our cruise in April. We're flying in later in the day and thinking about just using cabs instead of renting a car. Could anyone tell me if there is somewhere in walking distance of the hotel where we would be able to pick up soda (six-packs or cubes) to take on the cruise with us? Also, I've read that the hotel is across the street from the ocean. Is it really right across the street where we would be able to just go walk on the beach or go swimming? Thanks in advance.

There is a CVS pharmacy located on the 1st level of the Beach Place shopping/dining complex. You will be able to pick up soda and any other last-minute supplies for your cruise.

Yes, the hotel is located on A1A directly across the street from the beach. You can simply step outside your hotel and walk across the street. There are also other shops and restaurants within walking distance, or you can even catch the Sun Trolley, which runs alongside your hotel to get to either Las Olas Blvd or to the shops/restaurants around the Galleria Mall.
