Ship tours - departure day Miami questions??

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone done the Everglades Tour w/ MIA Airport Transfer?

It says that it's 3.5 hours with a departure at 8am....recommended for people with flights after 3:00.

We have a 2:00 flight from Miami. Will not be checking in bags. Just carry-ons?

Do you think it's realistic to do?

Or what about the South Beach Experience - Miami Airport?? That one is similar, but recommended for people with flights after 2:30.

We were just going to eat breakfast, take our time, and catch the transfer to the airport, but now I'm wondering if we should try to do something that morning instead of sitting at the airport for several hours.

Thanks!!!!

Depends if you have an admirals club pass! (or whatever airline your traveling!)

I've seen the traffic on the highway to MIA from Ft. Lauderdale.... South Beach is beautiful, and lots of fun,but I don't know as if it is a 'must do' experience. We went to DASH, Miami Ink, walked the beach... we parked our rental for about 3 hours...and I think that was plenty of time.

I'm leaning more towards the Everglade tour with transfers to Miami. We have been to South Beach. That one just had a 2:30 recommended time, as opposed to 3:00 for the Everglades tour.

Hoping someone out here has done this and will know an approx. arrival time at Miami airport from the tour.

Thanks!

We did the South Beach in November after ourt cruise on the Carnival Glory. We did not make it to the airport until 2:00 and our flight was 2:50. Would not do it again. We were off the ship at 7:50 am as they escort you off from the dining room and right down to customs. We waited until 9:15 for the buses to leave for the tour. It was very unorganized.

I don't think they;ll let you book the excursion with a 2PM flight time.
