Best time to cruise Pacific - spring or fall?

Hi folks,

 

We're looking at cruises to Hawaii - something we've been wanting to do for a long time but have been a little timid about booking due to the concern over rough seas out and back. It looks like Celebrity Century goes there in the spring and fall. Is there a best time to cruise in the Pacific? Any insights are most appreciated.

We cruised to Hawaii in October and in February. I don't know the reason but the trip in February turned out to be cooler and more rocking and rolling than the one in October which was pretty smooth.

This is just our experience and I don't know the reason or if there are reasons.

...the year we did Hawaii on Summit and then crossed to Vancouver, B.C. in the month of May. We were blessed with perfectly smooth sailing, blue skies and warm temperatures all the way to Vancouver.

I did a crossing in March from HI to Mexico. Seas were stable until the last full sea day. I would be more concerned about the air temperature. It was too cold to sit by the pool everyday except for the first day out of Kona.
