Vancouver hotels?

Hi - we have a large party(5 rooms) and need a post cruise hotel in Vancouver for one night in late June (19th). Our TA says that both Sutton and Hyatt are full. We are looking at Pacific Palisades because Faimont Waterfront is $365 a night.:eek: Anyone stay there? And we can't priceline/hotwire with that many rooms needed. Experiences or suggestions welcome. Thanks.

The day that you want to book is also the Dragon Boat festival weekend in Vancouver - this is one of the largest of its kind outside of Asia and is held in the downtown core - Pacific Palisades is in a good location - next to Robson street shopping corridor.

and NOT get one overlooking Robson Street.It can get very noisy.It is close to Shopping and tons of places to eat.

People have been getting rooms in Vancouver for 100 or less on a regular basis. With that big event in town, maybe you should opt to stay elsewhere? Why one night? Where are you flying out of?

 

PS - Though many love to use TA's, you should always go to Travelocity or expedia.com to check what you can find.

I don't know if anyone else has tried this, but we stayed at the Ramada in Vancouver. It's about 4 blocks from Canada Place and it was fairly reasonable. We didn't book it thru Priceline. We had an 'Entertainemnt Book" which offers 50% off hotels, and we paid $84. for the night. We took a cab to the dock for $5.00. Don't know if this helps, but the hotel was very nice.

try www.hellobc.com. they have package deals and you might get all the rooms you need for the night. a great site for all the hotel info and maps of where they are. good luck.

I personally have been in Vancouver for cruises previously and on other trips.

 

I always find great hotel rooms on Priceline.com.

 

I always stay in 4 star hotels for under 80.00 per night.

 

I would try that.
