adesmar123 Posted December 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2010 I will be cruising Rome to Rio T/A in November 2011. I have purchased ship transfers both ways. Does anyone know how easy/ difficult it is to arrange these transfers yourself. The Rome side is $238, and the Rio side is $178 for the two of us. thanks Alan

loum140 Posted December 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2010 Just returned from Rio -- taxi for two from the ship to the airport with luggage was about $45 plus tip.

sitraveler Posted December 28, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 28, 2010 You can always beat Oceania's prices on the transfers. You can arrange a pick up in advance, or just take a cab. In Rome, the airport is far from the port, but you can get a limo service for less. If you are flying in early, you can even make a group by using the roll call to find others with similar needs. Use CC's port info listing to get names of Rome's limo services. Its far too early to plan this aspect of the voyage.
tropicalkerry2002 Posted December 28, 2010 #8 Share Posted December 28, 2010 My chosen transfer company had no problem taking my reservation this early, so I needn't think about this aspect of the journey again!
Rare LHT28 Posted December 29, 2010 #9 Share Posted December 29, 2010 Its far too early to plan this aspect of the voyage. It is never too early ;) The early bird gets the tour guide/transfers I found out by trying to book a guide 6 months prior to our cruise... they were already booked up.
