jkbe321 Posted December 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2010 I want to get my wife a massage while on board. She missed out on our last cruise due to our credit card account being hacked and the subsequent freezing of our available credit. So as you know you can reserve and purchase massages in advance. Is this the way to go, or do you get a better price while on the cruise? Which way would you go? We are on the Paradise for the 3 day weekend cruise. Upper Decker Posted December 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2010 I remember there being discounts on spa services like massages on port days, but I'm not too familliar on what's offered on 3-day cruises. Either way you decide to go, it's very throughtful!
itsalljimmysfault Posted December 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2010 If it makes a difference what day or time she gets the massage, I would book ahead. I waited once and was not able to get my prefferred time for my massage (on my birthday:() If day and time don't matter you could wait and hope for a good deal!:)
courtneymd9 Posted December 31, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2010 On my last 2 cruises the prices went down dramatically on the last day of the cruise. I was able to get a facial and a massage for $99 total. In my opinion I would wait, saves more money for the bar tab!
Name Of The Game Posted December 31, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2010 Give her a massage yourself and save the $$. :D
cb at sea Posted December 31, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2010 If you want to, go ahead and put more money onto your account....basically, paying them MORE than you now owe.....that way, you'll have a CREDIT when you board the ship, and any charges will go against that credit. seashinesunshine Posted December 31, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 31, 2010 If you know when you want it, book it now, a few hours before formal night dinner might be a nice time, but the spa is busy then. Port days are cheaper, My husband won a hot rock massage on our last cruise, of course there was no doubt that I would get the massage, and it was WONDERFUL!!! I waited to book it and almost missed out, they were almost full. You are a great husband to help her make sure she gets one this time!
firefly333 Posted December 31, 2010 #8 Share Posted December 31, 2010 There are usually port day specials .. but not full body massages on special. There are a lot of things you could treat her too, but if I was your wife, Id want the best deal, not just the gesture, .. no matter how much it costs. Let her pick and give her money for it? Give her $200 or whatever to spend in the spa... and let her decide how to spend it.
