LindaAndBillTravel Posted December 31, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2010 We had booked a cruise while onboard recently. After we got home, we found that we wanted to change the date of sailing (same ship, same itinerary). I went online, found a sailing a couple of month later for about the same price and called to have the reservation changed. However, I was told that the price I see online wasn't the price I could have since I had a pre-existing reservation number. The price I was quoted for the new date was several hundred dollars more per person than what showed up online. The online price was not a Tuesday Sale or marked as any other "deal". Does anyone know if this is right? If it is right, is there a way to see online what the price is with an existing reservation? It seemed to be a cumbersome task for the person on the phone to check the price, so I didn't have her check all of the available dates.
PantherFan Posted December 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2010 I would call them again, that does not sound right. I have switched cruises around before and never heard this.
phoenix1181 Posted December 31, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2010 Call them again. You should be paying the advertised rate. I'm pretty sure that stands for the Tuesday specials too since you're changing cruise dates............ Are you past final payment on the original reservation? LindaAndBillTravel Posted December 31, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted December 31, 2010 I'm not even close to final payment...this is a 2012 cruise. I'll try them back again. Maybe a second time is a charm?
