San Juan Beach Hotel

I am thinking about staying at this hotel 1/29 precruise. I see it has very iffy reviews, but it appears that the more current reviews seem better. Has anyone stayed here recently, and would you recommend it? I am looking at the oceanview rooms($86), as they are not much more and look to be more quiet and maybe renovated recently. I can tolerate most anything one night, as long as clean and safe. Price is a major factor in where we can stay. Thanks.

They are undergoing what must be extensive renovations. I won this hotel on Priceline, then a couple of weeks later Priceline offered me a refund (unheard of) and $10 to spend on another hotel if I wanted to cancel due to this. This happened in December.

all i can say is that i would not stay there, even for free. trust me. if u do go, please post feedback. i always like horror stories :eek:

Never stayed there before. But if you are looking for a great hotel .. try the Marriott Stellaris. You can get a good deal through Priceline.
