39august Posted June 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Has the sports bar been recently replaced with a wine bar called Vintages? This would have been quite recent if it is so. Please someone just off Navigator let me know. And how was the wine list in Vintages, if it exists?
murphykputts Posted June 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2004 I was just on the May 8th cruise. Vintages had a large selection of wine. Between 5 & 8:30 they have complimentary hors d'ouevres. (I only pulled one cruise compass) Also on the first day compass it does state to purchase the wine and dine package. I didn't think they were offering that anymore. I am sorry I missed that one. I guess it helps to read the complete compass. I did save all the compasses for the week. (eastern) Navigator of the Seas
robinm918 Posted June 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2004 No - Vintages is on Deck 5 (Promenade level) and the sports bar is on one of the upper decks. Vintages has a very nice wine selection and "happy hour" prices with free snacks. I wish we had visited there more often. 39august Posted June 21, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Can you give me information on what cabernets and chardonnays were availalbe and an idea of price? This is great news to me as I seldom drink anything but wine. The wine list for our last 2 cruises was not very good and outrageously over-priced. Hope this will give us a better selection. Can you buy by the glass and by the bottle in Vintages?
