I've booked this hotel (great rate) for Feb 2, the night before we leave to go back to the snow? This hotel is new (I think it's a Holiday Inn remodeled). Anyone know anything about it?

I have it booked for the night of the 3rd, just hoping that they are open in time and that all of the amenities (pool, restaurants, etc.), are open by then. They were supposed to open in Dec but now the opening is delayed. Looks like it will be a really nice hotel. Anyone local been by the hotel and if so can you comment on the construction status?

It was a HI and has been closed for several years. It's across the street from the beach and about 6 blocks to Galleria Mall. Since it isn't open yet, there is no information to be found.
