New diving and snorkeling attraction!

Today was the culmination of a project several years in the making as a former United States Navy vessel USS Kittiwake was sank as an artificial reef off Grand Cayman.

This 251 foot long, former submarine rescue ship was sank in waters near to Cemetery Beach. I would expect many scuba diving and snorkeling operations to begin to offer tours to this wreck soon.

The bottom of the ship sits in about 60feet of water with the top only a few feet from the surface. It should be a great attraction for scuba divers of all experience levels as well as snorkelers.
