nascar20fan Posted January 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2011 One could get used to sailing back to back. Today we are starting our second week and the transition ran quick smoothly. They escorted us off and on rather quickly. There are only 9 cruisers doing a back to back on Glory from last week to this week. Just thought I'd share. :)

nascar20fan Posted January 22, 2011 Author #14 Share Posted January 22, 2011 Well we got back last Sunday evening and since we own a business, I haven't had a chance to post anything at all about our B2B Glory cruises. I will just post a few items that may be of interest for now. There is no order to my thoughts that I'm posting now...sorry. We actually had 2 different CDs on each cruise; Jorge and then Marcelo No, we did not get any gift for doing a B2B. However, there was another couple who was doing a B2B and she said they got a basket of fruit. So me being the curious one, I asked Marta at the Purser's desk and she said, "no gifts are given from the cruise line. But if there is a gift, it was from their travel agent." The second week was a lot more relaxing than the first one as it was just hubby and I and no family members. The crowd on the first cruise was a lot younger with tons of kids. The second one had only a few kids and several older passengers. Personally, I enjoyed the crowd on the second one more. (Overall quieter and elevators didn't have all the buttons pushed, no child melt downs in hallways dining areas, etc.) The weather had it's ups and down. We had rough seas when heading to and from Roatan. Roatan was canceled due to high winds. I don't let those things upset me. I go with the flow. The crew had to come up with entertainment for our unexpected day at sea. It was cloudy, windy and rainy from time to time. We did make it to Grand Cayman the next day several hours earlier so we got to spend more time on the beach. Our Matre'd Chubby was awesome! He had to deal with a lot of different food requests with some of my family members. My 2 sister's families have vegetarians, vegans, Mulsum and Jewish food restrictions. My immediate family members and I enjoyed all the regular menu items. Gotta get back to housecleaning and laundry. If anyone has questions, I'll be happy to answer them.
